The Accounts Payable specialist will be a key member of the finance department. This role is responsible for the day-to-day financial well-being of our organization by controlling and monitoring our expenses. He/she will be processing payments, verifying invoices, and performing account reconciliations. Additionally, he/she will play a key part in system and process enhancements, helping our department become a best-in-class support center.

This is a hybrid position, based in Miami, Florida. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Entering invoices/payments into accounting software on a timely basis 
  • Maintaining vendor records up to date (W-9’s, contact info, contracts, etc.) 
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors 
  • Coordinating and reviewing employee expense reimbursement submission for proper coding 
  • Analyzing vendor invoices to ensure consistency and to identify cost-savings opportunities 
  • Preparing accounts payable aging schedules and payments 
  • Reviewing vendor invoices for accuracy and consistency with agreed contracts and terms 
  • Reviewing vendor payment terms for payment efficiencies 
  • Preparing annual 1099 vendor schedules 
  • Assisting in implementation of payment automation technologies 
  • Reconciling and inputting credit card account  
  • Assisting in YE audit deliverables 
  • Supporting departments across organization with vendor-related data requests 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years related experience in similar role.
